Try my recipe for a berry delicious GLUTEN-FREE protein shake! It's perfect as a meal replacement for breakfast or lunch, and has just under 300 calories. Since it's a great source of branched chain amino acids, you can also have one before or after a workout to help rebuild muscle tissue. This shake always gives me the energy I need to keep going for hours. (And did I mention it's delcious?! ;) I hope it works for you, too!
1/2 -1 scoop of Hammer Nutrition Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
I like Hammer because it is Gluten Free, and also has added L-Glutamine - a very important amino acid for healing leaky gut and strengthening the immune system.
1 - 1 1/2 cups of Chocolate Milk or Regular Milk
The Horizon Brand is my favorite - it contains Omega-3 DHA
which is great for the health of your brain and eyes!
A small handful of frozen mixes berries
Blueberries, Raspberries, and Strawberries provide Vitamin C, antioxidants, and fiber.
5 ice cubes
These give your shake the perfect texture and keep it icy and cold!
Turn your blender on ice crush for a few seconds then blend for a few more.
That's it! Within a few minutes you'll have a power-packed shake that will give you energy
for whatever your day may bring!
